A 224 km loop from Lochcarron

Big sky, single-track discipline and one of Britain’s great rider days. This road trip is shaped as a ride, not as a shortcut: leave the start cleanly, use the first checkpoint for fuel and weather discipline, then let the middle 90 km be the part you remember. The best part sits around Bealach na Bà, Torridon mountain view, while Lochcarron fuel gate and Applecross lunch coast keep the day practical instead of turning it into a fuel hunt. Check the selected map before departure: scenic sections, transfer sections, speed/control reminders, risk points and the GPX checkpoint order are deliberately visible so the route is understandable before the engine starts. Ride it early if the area is popular, keep the photo stops legal, and shorten the route if weather, daylight or energy stops agreeing with the plan.
